We give flags to honor heroes. Some of which are dealing with rough times and need to be lifted up. Though the thought of giving a flag to a combat vet or first responder seems simple, the impact you make can truly change someones life. I know this because I am one. When I was at my absolute lowest, if a fellow brother gave me a flag that he hand crafted, funded by a patriotic American, it would've given me hope, put a smile on my face, made me feel that there is someone out there that cares. The suicide epidemic that has plagued our ranks has affected most, if not all combat vets and their families in one way or another. Hero Grain was started to put a smile on someones face when they're at their lowest, and let them know that there are people out there that care. Please join our mission of honoring our nations heroes by funding an exceptional piece of patriotic art they can hang high, and remind them everyday of their value and support.

How it works:

1- You donate any amount you'd like towards our Distressed Wood Carved American Flag.

2- Once funds have been reached, we make the flag and send it to a Hero. Shipping and taxes are included. There are no additional fees or expenses. 

What Heroes do you send flags to?:

First and foremost, our flags go to combat vets that are struggling with depression, PTSD, and TBI. From experience, I know how deep these cuts can go, and at my lowest, I would have loved to receive one of these flags from a fellow combat vet that knows how it feels.

Second, our flags go to families of fallen service members. Whether it be a life lost in combat, or a life lost from invisible wounds of war years later, these families have lost a loved one and deserve to be honored.

Third, our flags go to exceptional combat vets and first responders that have gone above and beyond the call of duty. We love to recognize them for what they've done through our flags.

Fourth, our flags go to non profits whose mission we believe in. The flag goes towards their fundraising events, and is then auctioned. All proceeds go to the non profit, and helps them further achieve their fundraising goals.

Who else am I helping when I donate?:

 As if the gift of a flag to a deserved hero isn't enough, your donations will truly change the lives of the employees at Hero Grain. Woodworking is our active therapy and the way we make a living. Military transition is rough, giving vets a work environment that they are comfortable with and can thrive is our purpose. By donating you'll help keep a sustainable work environment for these vets and provide them with a new purpose in life.
